As part of the ongoing development of its Inspiring Experts website, HR services firm Randstad recently launched a corresponding blog to inspire young job seekers to look for opportunities to grow.
The Inspiring Experts blog was created as an extension to Randstad's video content of the same name, which features more than 350 professionals and students who submitted videos explaining their career aspirations. Winners of the contest received scholarships, cash prizes and guest blogger spots. The blog is not only intended to highlight these winners, but also discuss ways to inform and influence today's young professionals.
For instance, one recent blog post discusses how to get noticed at work. Tips include not getting lost in the crowd, building a network, being helpful, not over-committing and continuously improving skills.
In addition, the blog will offer "insight on current jobs in demand, top career trends and workplace advice, through traditional and emerging media channels," which those seeking full-time, part-time or temporary worker positions can benefit from.
"The Inspiring Experts campaign created a tremendous response from not only the professional working community, but also from students around the country," said Dan Foley, president of Randstad US, Professionals. "In today's economy, young people are looking for careers with sustainable growth and security … our Inspiring Experts blog can be a resource to help cultivate interest and drive employment in those sectors."
