With the end of the year looming, a company's payrolling department must be up to date on all required employee forms, transcripts, healthcare benefits and more.
Payrolling management representatives may want to attend a webinar that will be held later this month. The session, called Tips and Updates for Handling Year-End Payroll, will be hosted by Jerri Langer, founding member of Ann Arbor, Michigan-based COKALA Tax Information Reporting.
Langer will touch on a variety of topics, ranging from W-2 and W-3 forms, Forms 941, how to obtain IRS transcripts and use them in year-end processing, how to report in Box 12 of the W-2 and what's new about 2012 W-4 forms.
In addition, Langer will answer questions about wage thresholds for Social Security and Medicare plans, how to catch fringe benefit items that must be added to W-2 (such as personal use of company cars) and how healthcare reform has affected payroll tax requirements.
The webinar promises to be objective and provide all attendees with personal attention and follow-up materials.
